He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Mildred Booker.
William proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII and then went on to work as a Postal Carrier in Nashville, TN. After retiring from the Post Office he spent most of his time working in the yard. He was also a longtime member of Stones River Baptist Church in Smyrna, TN.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Gomer (Jerry); grandchildren, Lisa Ervin (Tom), Tony Wotkiewicz (Sheree) and Kellie Wisdom (Kevin); eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at twelve o’ clock in the afternoon until two-thirty with the funeral service to follow at two-thirty on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
