He was born in Nashville to the late William H. Lund and Glennie Hearn Lund. Bud retired from Peterbilt after 29 years as an industrial electrician. He served our country in the United States Navy, was a 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite, member of American Legion Post 88, and in the Director’s Staff as a Shriner. Bud enjoyed vegetable gardening and was well-known for growing peter peppers. He was a loving husband, father, and Pawpaw to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Tim Lund, and two siblings, Thomas “Punkin” Lund and Doris Ruth Hailey.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice Owen Lund; two children, Gina Lund Gunter (Mike) and Greg Lund (Pat); six grandchildren, Adam Lund, Michael Lund, Brittany Chilson, Ashley Hood, Amy Hill, and Shelbi Lund; ten great grandchildren; sister, Judy Snyder (Jimmy); and a very special friend, Will Lansdown.
Visitation will be at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The Celebration of Bud’s Life will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
Military Honors and Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Adam Lund, Michael Lund, Mike Gunter, Eddie Owen, Greg Lund, and Donnie Hill.
