

David was born in Madisonville, KY on October 30, 1978. He graduated from Madisonville North Hopkins High School, University of Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky University. David was in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, and he served with CO A, 8th Tank Battalion in Iraq in 2003. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the Reserves on November 17, 2006. He was also a member of the Mount Juliet Church of Christ.
David is survived by his wife, Melissa Mallicoat; daughters, Rylee Jane and Katelyn Brooke Mallicoat; parents, Vicki (Marshall) Brooks and Bill Mallicoat; sister, Kristi (Billie) Adams; and nieces, Lauren and Ella Adams.
Dave’s family wishes to thank Vanderbilt LifeFlight and Vanderbilt Trauma Center, the rehab staff at NHC-Murfreesboro, the rehab staff at James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, Florida, and the staff at Mt. Juliet Healthcare Center.
Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, June 16th at two o’clock in the afternoon at Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, 1940 Mt. Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, TN, visitation with family and friends on Sunday from two o’clock until four and six o’clock until eight at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mallicoat Family Fund at any Regions Bank branch or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
