

Mrs. Yvonne Claire McDowell Sullivan passed away on December 18, 2016. She is preceded in death by husband, John M. Sullivan, Sr.; parents, Eva Marie and Charles L. McDowell, Jr.; and sister, Ann Marie Votta.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by children, Cindy (James Sr.) Pitt, Monica (Roy L.) Armstrong Jr., Jean (Donald) Locke, Joyce (Paul) Schoenfeld, John (Teresa) Sullivan and Marie (Charles) Gruber; grandchildren, Mandi (Jordan) Reed, James Pitt, Jr. (Kristina Sandgren), Jacob Pitt (Ashley Bartrum), Joshua L. Armstrong, Jared E. Armstrong, Robert Locke, LaQueena Schoenfeld, Douglas (Chelsea) Schoenfeld, Zetti Sullivan, Joshua Gruber, Cassidy White (Jackson Jolly) and Katie Gruber; great-grandchildren, Adriana Flair, Alexis McCubbin, JB Flair, Scott Rhoades, Ayden Schoenfeld, Kaylee Pitt, and Casey Gruber; siblings, Joyce Baxter, Charlotte Baker (David), Charles L. McDowell III, and Molly Heber; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sullivan was a graduate of Cathedral High School. She was retired from Mary Kay Cosmetics, St. Thomas Hospital, and the Green Hills Kroger Store.
Mrs. Sullivan was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church, a member of the St. Ann Ladies Guild, DCCW, and Murphy’s North Pole Network.
James Pitt, Jr., Jacob Pitt, Jordan Reed, Joshua L. Armstrong, Jared E. Armstrong, Robert Locke, Douglas Schoenfeld, and Joshua Gruber will serve as pallbearers.
Frank Votta, David Baker, Deacon Marty Mulloy, Deacon Jim Holzmer, and devoted nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Kayla Moore, her special angel; the Staff of West Meade Place, Alive Hospice, and also to the Staff of Woodcrest at Blakeford.
Visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 3-8 p.m. The rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Harpeth Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Ann Tuition Assistance Program, Alive Hospice, or American Diabetes Association.
