Donna Lynette Epps

Donna attended Montgomery High School and graduated from Morse High School in 1982. After High school she attended Lab Tech school, and worked as a lab tech in various hospitals and clinics. More recently, she was a graduate of the UCSD extensions Medical Billing and Coding program in 2004. She was a faithful employee of Scripps Hospital for over 20 years, with previous employment as a contractor. In addition to her employment at Scripps, Donna worked part-time as a cashier at Target for past 5 years.

Donna was not only a professional, but a loving mother to her cherished son, Toriano. Known for her boundless kindness, she possessed a compassionate spirit and a warm, friendly demeanor. Donna’s generosity was evident in her reputation for being someone who would “give you the shirt off her back.” Her ability to light up a room will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her loving and giving nature be a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who mourn her passing.

Donna leaves behind her son Toriano; parents Donald and Camilla; sister DeAndra; brothers Gregory and Jeffrey; nieces Saniesa and Nicolette and nephew Myles; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Donna will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Funeraria del Angel National City, 607 National City Boulevard, National City, CA 91950. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
