William Acierto Ablian was born in San Felipe, Zambales, Philippines on January 22, 1950 to his late father Pedro Antes Ablian & late mother Luisa Acierto Ablian. William was the oldest and with other sibling, Wilson. William didn’t have the opportunity for much formal education due to hardship in the family, however it didn’t stop him to seek a better life with his unwavering dedication, hardwork and unmatched perseverance. William used to work in the hospital as an assistant before pursuing his career in being a seafarer (seaman). William spent years away from home in order to provide assistance to the family.
In 1976, William met my Mother Damasa through exchanging of letters (pen pals). After a year, they got married in Bamboo Organ Church, Las Pinas City, Manila. They have seven children: Russell, Ronald, Ricky, Renz Mark, Roslyn, Ralph and Rigel. William decided to live in my mother’s domicile in Las Pinas City, Manila.
In 2008, William, together with his wife: Damasa and children: Renz Mark, Roslyn, Ralph and Rigel were approved for U.S. residency through his brother: Wilson Ablian in hope for an opportunity of a better life and live the American Dream! Unfortunately, this was during the great recession, whereas jobs are scarce. Through a friend recommendation, he started working in a homecare facility. Since then, William worked really hard in providing care for the elderly and for the people with special conditions. He officially retired in 2022 at the age of 72.
William enjoyed going to the Casino to play bingo. He also very much enjoyed watching NBA basketball games and news reports on television.
He is survived by his sons, daughter and their children, Russell married to Jocelyn Ablian with their children Crystal Jade, Willard Drew, Joross Kent; Ronald and his daughter Thea Eliana; Ricky married to April Rose with their children Rhixara Glayce, Rhixian Edward, and Rhixyra Maryll; Renz Mark married to Kathlyn with their children Zoey Frances and Lance Kohen; Roslyn married to Karl Gil with their son Liam Kaiser; Ralph married to Stephanie with their daughter Abbigail Luna; and Rigel married to Lara Krissel with their daughter Ria Louvelle.
His loving kindness and winsome smiles will be sorely missed by all, especially by his family and friends. He will leave a lot of memories to his loving family, friends and relatives.
We love you very much and thank you for what you have done to us. May the angels and saints help and provide you with a peaceful journey to our Heavenly Father.
Farewell and Rest in Peace.
