Peacefully, on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, Dan Hudjik passed away at River East Personal Care Home at the age of 80. Left to mourn him are his wife Mary-Ann, his brother Harold (Mildred), brother-in-law Leslie (Melinda), family, friends and his beloved pet dog Captain, who brought him much joy during his retirement years. Dan was predeceased by his two sisters Dolores and Fern.
Dan worked in the trucking industry, fulfilling a childhood goal.
As a small child Dan appreciated music. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar alone or with a group.
Dan was one of those people who could visualize a project and complete it. His final project was an attachment to the front of his walker for Captain.
Dan loved his Creator, Jehovah God and never wavered from his faith. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he believed in John 5: 28 & 29 which promises a resurrection from the memorial tombs.
The family would like to thank River East Personal Care Home and particularly those on Charity Road who cared for Dan with compassion and thoughtfulness. Additionally, thank you to those who supported us during Dan’s illness.
A service for Dan will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1 Green Acres Lane and will be livestreamed via www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
