Blanche Emma Marie Gendron

With family at her bedside, mom got her final wish to be reunited with dad (Alexis) who predeceased her August 6, 2004. She will be welcomed in heaven by her parents Emile and Amanda Poiron; her sisters and brother-in-laws Henriette & George Nepper, Solange & Marcel Gerardy; brothers Joachim & Fernande, Gerard & Delores, Marcel, and Roland. Also, she will be welcomed by her in-laws, Arthur & Rose-Anna, and half-sister Amy & Ed Spiess.

Left to cherish her memory are four children: Ronald (Shirley), daughters Anita (Keith), Christine (Peter), Chantal (Brett); Gerald; Simone (Claude Nicolas), children Joel (Anna), Patricia (Lec), Julie (Bart); Marie-Anne (Gary Shewchuk), children Meghan, Adam (Maryline), Alex (Lisa), Melanie (Brandon), and six great grandchildren and a seventh due February 19. Also remembered by sister Antoinette (Lucien St. Pierre), brother Marcien (Angeline) and sister-in-laws Yvette and Claudette.

All of you who visited mom, called or sent cards over the years, she greatly appreciated these gifts of time and we sincerely thank you. Special appreciation to the staff at Victoria Hospital (second floor) for the wonderful care you provided mom in her last days and to Foyer Valade (Action Marguerite St. Vital) where she called home for the last seven and a half years for your compassion, laughter and friendship. Your acts of kindness will be remembered.

Viewing starting at 9:00 a.m., Eulogy 9:45, followed by funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 avenue de la Cathedrale.
