Enrico Ammazzini

It is with profound sorrow and the heaviest of hearts that our family announces the peaceful passing of Enrico Ammazzini on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Holy Family Home at the age of 95 years.

Enrico will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Ernesta; his only daughter Maria Eda and son-in-law Luciano; brother Reno; sisters Pia and Isola; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Enrico was predeceased by his parents Gino and Eda; brother Lido; sister-in-law Emilie; brother-in-law Dominico; brother-in-law Antonio; sister-in-law Carmela; nephew Riccardo; and great-great-niece Nicolina.

Enrico was born December 24, 1930 in Duomo, a small town in the Tuscany region of Italy. He married the love of his life Ernesta on November 29, 1958 and on October 14, 1959 his daughter Maria Eda was born. In 1977, he welcomed his son-in-law Luciano.

Enrico had a very strong work ethic, was proud of his Italian heritage, enjoyed family get-togethers and outings, singing and dancing, spending time with friends, traveling to Italy, gardening, wine-making, hunting, and almost anything his family would like to do.

Viewing and Condolences will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.

Entombment will follow at Holy Angel Mausoleum at Green Acres Cemetery.
