Esther Bachman

Esther Bachman was born March 22, 1931 and passed away on Monday February 19, 2018 at Concordia Place. Left to cherish her memories is her loving daughter Shirley Peabody (Arnold); granddaughter Crystal Hanley (Derek) and great-grandson Declan. Also leaves to mourn her passing her sister Lily; brother Wally (Elaine), as well as many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her first husband George Lozinksi in 1984; her parents Henry and Emelia Schmidt; siblings Bill, Hilda, Albert, Harry, Anne, Herbert and husband Adolf Bachman.

Esther and George were married on Oct 31st, 1948. Together they had one daughter Shirley. They moved to the East Kildonan (Morse Place) area of Winnipeg. Esther started working part-time at Irene's Grocery where she met many life long friends.

After George passed away, she met and married Adolf Bachman and they moved to Beausejour, Manitoba. She enjoyed the small town atmosphere. His family opened their hearts to her and she loved them all very much. Esther was a people person and enjoyed the quiet life in Beausejour. She was a member of the Lutheran Church, where she and Adolf spent a lot of their time volunteering.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Viewing will be from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy 1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Reception to follow.
