Georgette Irene Roque

(nee Desmarais)

1940 - 2014

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Georgette at Ste. Annes Hospital on February 6, 2014 at the age of 73.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Hubert Roque; her cherished children Monique (Bryan), Pat (Nancy) and Joanne (Louie). She was so proud of her six grandchildren, Ayslynn, Eriq, Baylie, Amanda, Blaque and Lindsey.

Georgette will be remembered by her six brothers, Fabien (Lucille), Larry (Judy), Victor (Yvette), Levis (Lucille), Rheal (Irene), Claude (Odete) along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Leon and Edmee Desmarais and her only sister, Lilliane Lussier.

Mom’s kindness, generosity and unconditional love were some of her qualities she has passed onto us and it is now our turn to live by these examples.

We all know that she was the happiest in her kitchen, her garden and her sewing room. Friends and family are blessed with examples of her sewing talent and we will treasure them forever. Not for one minute will Mom allow us to forget her beautiful spirit and the unconditional love she gave everyone in her time with us!

A celebration of her life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Georgette may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
