Mom studied dramatic arts and was an educator in the WSD for almost 20 years.
While having travelled to Hawaii and all over western Canada, Winnipeg always remained home.
Mom loved her dogs, Sheeba, and rescuing various other companions, especially her feisty Muffin, who was always by her side.
The beach, the waves, the sun and being at the Lake, was where Mom felt best, and managed to scribe her life story into a memoire, Strolling Down Heavens Gate.
Mom lived with HIV for 27 years, spending most of her life, drug free, and felt living life was her mission.
Raised Catholic, Mom broadened her scope and opened herself to Buddhism and exploring her spirituality.
Mom loved painting, coffee, good food, and bringing her family together for a night of chatting and laughing.
She will always be remembered for her good heart, generous nature, and incredible spirit.
Having felt her destiny was to spread her message of truth and love, her message will live on in her book, with her children, and everyone she met.
Our family would like to thank all the fantastic people who have helped Mom over the last many years. Walter & Diane, Garry & Robert, Annick & Fred and countless other good friends. And all the generous Health care providers at St. Boniface Hospital, Riverview Health Care Centre, and at Winnipeg Beach.
A service to celebrate Mom's life will be held on April 28th at 10:00 am at Thomson Funeral Home, at 669 Broadway. All are welcome. Internment for immediate family to follow at Green Acres.
In lieu of flowers, Mom requested donations be made to Nine Circles Community Health Centre.
