On Sunday, September 1, 2014 at Southeast Personal Care Home, Helen Grabowski passed away peacefully at the age of 100.
Helen was predeceased by her husband John on February 28, 1997.
She is survived by her sister in law Violet, of Brunkild, Manitoba as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was born on May 22, 1914 in Fraserwood, Manitoba. In 1930 Helen found work in Brunkild, where she met John. They were later married April 2, 1935. John’s work as a heavy equipment operator took them to many rural communities throughout the province, until they eventually settled in Winnipeg in 1970.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014, 2:00p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy#1 East at Navin Road. Friends may call at the chapel half hour prior to the service for Viewing.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
