James Herbert Stuermer

Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on July 12, 2014 Jim passed away at the age of 59. Jim is survived by his mother Elsie, his wife Debbie, sons Rob, Michael (Kelly), grandchildren Jody, Cara and Kalem, sister June (Ron) Stroich, nieces Jennifer (Chris), Allison (Dave), brother Bob (Lori) Stuermer, nieces Kristin, Courtney, brothers-in-law Fred Wainman, Ray Wainman and Keith Larson. He was predeceased by his father Herbert. Jim has touched the lives of many family and friends who will miss his outgoing personality and caring nature. The family would like to thank the staff at the Buhler Cancer Centre-Victoria General Hospital for all their care and compassion. In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, Highway #1 East inside the Perimeter, Winnipeg. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Society.
