Laurent grew up in Fisher Branch and worked on the farm. They moved to Winnipeg in 1955 and there is where he met the love of his life, Cécile. He was a skillful tinsmith for many years whose work ethic was second to none.
He loved all kinds of sports and played baseball, hockey, and bowled. He, also, made time to coach ringette and baseball. His love of golf was special to him, as it gave him the opportunity to spend time with family and friends. He was quite proud that he played 77 games this summer.
Family was the most important thing in his life. He was always there for us. We have many loving memories that we will cherish forever.
As per his wishes, there will be no memorial services, and cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his memory to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.
