Leo was born in St Boniface on January 19, 1934 to Zachary and Emilienne. In his younger years the family moved around within Winnipeg as well as rural towns around Winnipeg. He married Doris in 1955 and they lived in Winnipeg where Leo worked as a Sales Rep for Caterpillar (Powell Equipment) for most of his career. This work took Leo and his family to Brandon for a 3 year period. He also tried his hand at owning his own business (Leclair’s Filter Service). In his later years, he worked with the Louis Riel School Board as a custodian. Leo was passionate about music, playing drums with buddies in a band for many years. He also enjoyed his weekly bowling league. The close family knows he was famous for his “big salad” and waking us up to eat the huge breakfast he would make for whoever was at the cottage. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those who wish may make a donation to Lupus Canada in lieu of flowers.
