Victoria Harris

Vicki passed away on April 12th, 2011 at the age of 58 years. Vicki was predeceased by her parents, Gérard and Marie ( née Therrien) Vielfaure. She is lovingly remembered by husband Michael Harris, bother André, sister Lise (Scott), in-laws Paul & Joyce, brother-in-law Jeff (Suzanne), sisters-in-law Marcia and Lesley (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews whom she liked to call `her kids`. Her presence will also be greatly missed by her special `boys` Buddy and B. J.

Vicki was born and raised in St. Boniface . She met Michael in 1981 and they were married in August 1983. She worked at Manitoba Health for 33 years and could name every pharmacist in the province. Upon retiring in 2008, Vicki and Michael moved to Gimli to start a new adventure. Not one to keep idle, she decided to take on a job at Sobey`s where she flourished in the positions of cashier and customer service representative. Customers of the Gimli Sobey`s could always expect to be treated with a kind word and a smile which were Vicki`s trademark.

Special thanks goes to the staff of Gimli palliative care, especially Sarah, who was there every step of the way. Michael is grateful for the presence of his family during the last difficult days. We would like to invite those that knew her to come celebrate her life with us on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Green Acres Funeral Home.
