Walter Verleih

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Walter Verleih, on Friday, July 15th at the age of 87 years, as his home in Donwood Manor.

Walter is survived by his three sons: Willi, Sieg (Marianne) and Klaus (Joan); grandchildren Michael (Megan), Stephanie (Nick), Brett and Marlee, great grandson Asher. Walter is also survived by his sisters Erna and Martiel in Germany. He was predeceased by his wife Kathy in 2006.

Walter loved watching sports especially the Jets, Blue Jays, Bombers and European soccer. He lived independently in Donwood Manor for the past 10 years. Special thanks from the family to Ursula Moskot for all the care and support she provided to Walter for the past eight years.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 21st, 2016 at 2:00pm at Peace Lutheran Church, 350 Gilmore Avenue (Nkld).

Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy #1 East at Navin Road.

Pallbearers will be sons Willi and Klaus and grandchildren Michael, Stephanie, Brett and Marlee.
