Alcie Alene Farmer, age 84, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024. She was one of seven children born on March 19, 1940, to the late Wilmer and Mary Ellen Parker. Alene was a faithful member of the Walnut Ridge Southern Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Alene was a very talented lady. She loved to play her guitar and sing, but her favorite was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Alene is preceded in death by five of her siblings.
Alene is survived by her two sons, Kelly Farmer (Amy) and Eric Farmer; three cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Kylen, and Tanner; and her sister, Maxine Tucker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alene's visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with visitation before the service starting at 9:00 AM.
Alene will be laid to rest in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
