Altha Louise Cox

Altha Louise Cox, 91 years of age passed peacefully on October 10, 2020. She was born on November 26, 1928 in Renfrow, Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Ellsworth and Eva Alice “Sorrels” Allen. After retiring from Sonoco in New Albany, Indiana, Louise enjoyed making quilts for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky and was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Lee Cox, Sr.; daughter, Vicki Riddle; and granddaughter, Carmen Murphy. She leaves to mourn her death one daughter and two sons, Euda Faulkner (Ken), Albert “Bo” Murphy, Audrey Murphy (Cheryl); 3 grandchildren, Mark Seewer (Jeanna), Alice Seewer, Amy Schuler (David); 6 great grandchildren, Krystal Seewer, Rebecca Seewer, Kaleigh Schuler, Cole Schuler, Claire Schuler, and Karsen Schuler. Visitation will be 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana.
