Anna Marie Brown

Anna Marie Brown, born on September 23, 1935, passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 90. Anna was born in Lanesville, Indiana, to the late John Joseph Loew and Irma Mary (Ott) Loew. Anna was a loving mother and known for being a true home maker, but before her family came she was a bookkeeper for the Floyd County Bank in New Albany, Indiana. She was a devoted Catholic and a proud member of Saint Mary's of Lanesville. She always put her family first, including her beloved husband and her two sons. Anna was a great story teller and often told her sons stories of how she was raised and her homelife on the family farm. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 56 years, Gerald F. "Tubby" Brown;

Anna is survived by her sons, Paul Joseph (Kristen) Brown of Louisville, Kentucky and John Gerald Brown of Georgetown, Indiana; her grandchildren, Sean Joseph Brown and Brendan Patrick, both of Louisville; her sisters, Laverne Smith of Lanesville, Mary Koetter of Borden, Helen Gettelfinger of New Salisbury, and Hilda Robinson, Lanesville; and her brother, Lawrence (Sharon) Loew of Lanesville.

A Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mary's of Lanesville, 2500 Saint Marys Drive NE, Lanesville, Indiana, on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:00 am. The family asks family and friends to meet at the church for Anna's Funeral Mass.

Her Graveside Service will take place at Saint Mary's of Lanesville Cemetery, Lanesville, Indiana, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana and Saint Mary's of Lanesville.
