Beverly "Bub" W. Atwood Jr.

Beverly W. “BUB” Atwood Jr., 63, died Sunday, August 8, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 17, 1950 in New Albany, IN to Beverly W. Sr. and Wanda J. (Hardin) Atwood. Bub was retired after 20 years of service with the Colgate Co. and formerly worked at the old Danny Boys Tavern in Clarksville, IN. He also bartended at the Floyd County Post #3281 V.F.W. for some ten years, was an U.S. Army Veteran and member of V.F.W. Floyd County Post #3281 and the Voiture Forty and Eight American Legion Post. Bub loved fishing, his wife and family and especially his dog Lucky. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Survivors include:

Wife: Kathy A. Grangier Atwood

Daughter: Dawn Kost and husband Shawn

Son: Christopher Atwood and Rachel

Four Grandchildren: Matthew, Devin, Dylan, and Derek.

Step-Daughter: Michelle Cochran and husband Mike

Two Step-Grandchildren: Austin and Brianne

Parents: Beverly and Wanda Atwood Sr.

Two Sisters: Donna Atwood and Lisa Franke (Danny)

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews

Special Companion and Pet: Lucky Larue Atwood

Reception of Family and Friends will be 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday August 13th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service with Full Military Honors will be 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Kraft Chapel. Interment will be in New Albany National Cemetery.
