

He was a native of Troy, OH, and was a graduate of Troy High School and Western Kentucky University. Bill was a teacher and coach for many years at Jefferson County Schools and retired from the New Albany-Floyd County School System.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #42, the VFW Post 1693, the Redmen Club, the 40 & 8 Club, the Indiana University Loyalty Club, the Western Kentucky University Alumni Association, the "W" Club, and a life member of the "Back in Time" car club.
Survivors include wife, Patty Rogers Mumford; daughters, Dawn Mumford , Floyds Knobs, IN, Wendy McCrory (Michael) , Georgetown, IN and Brandy Graham (Pat), Evansville, IN; granddaughters, April Sears and Alicia Sears; grandsons, Cade Graham and Jace Graham; and sister, Tracy Merman (Brian) , Palm Desert, CA.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, IN. A celebration of Bill's life will be 7 p.m. Sunday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with cremation to follow.
