CHARLES T. SIMS, Jr., 72, died Monday, December 7, 2015. The son of the late Adele Hills and Charles T. Sims, Sr., Charles was born November 9, 1943 in New Albany, Indiana. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran and was a drill sergeant at Paris Island, served his country honorably in Vietnam, and was an expert rifleman. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence and Jerry Sims.
Charles is survived by his cousin and caregiver, Brian Hills; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service with military honors will be 1:00 pm Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
