At the time of his passing, David was a resident of Floyds Knobs, Indiana. He spent his working life as a skilled carpenter, a trade that reflected his dedication, craftsmanship, and pride in honest work. After retirement he enjoyed spending time playing golf.
David is survived by his wife, Melody Aschbacher; siblings, Robert J. Aschbacher (Andrea), Janice M. Gilley (Scott), William J. Aschbacher (Mindy), & Carol S. Coulter (Dave); his beloved nieces and nephews, Evan, Aaron, Emily, Tiffany, Brandon and April; great nieces and nephews, Megan, Ethan, Loran, Branson, Daxton, Harper and Jacob; and one great great niece, Isabelle.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 12pm-6pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150 & on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 11am-1pm. Funeral Service will be Monday at 1pm in the funeral home chapel with entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
