David made his home in Clarksville, Indiana, and was a member of Graceland Church in New Albany, Indiana. He loved to hunt and fish, and anything outdoors. He especially loved annual vacations to Myrtle Beach with the love of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Stivers; his daughter, Gina (Mike) McDonald; son, Patrick (NellieGrace) Stivers; stepson, Damon McIntyre; Grandchildren, Brittany, Moira, Olivia, Allie, and Cody; and three great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Mahuron Dunaway; his father, James R. Stivers; his stepson, Raymond Aaron McIntyre; Brothers, Kenny, Lee, and Larry Stivers.
In honor of David’s life, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Home, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Abundant Life Memorial Gardens in New Albany.
