

Dian Hackel, age 82, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on September 15, 2024. She was born on March 10, 1942, to the late Clement and Frances Tabacheck. Dian shared 13 years of marriage with the late David Hackel, who passed away in 2015. Dian attended middle school at St. Anthony and graduated from Providence High School. She would later graduate with her BA from Indiana University Southeast. Dian wore many hats during her career. She taught at Ivy Tech Community College, was an accountant, and owned her own business for over 30 years. Dian served on several boards and councils in the community, some being the Howard Steamboat Museum and the Franklin Commons in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua in Clarksville, Indiana.
Dian enjoyed bowling and was in two bowling leagues. She also enjoyed painting, cooking, sewing, crafts, and working in her yard. But most of all, she loved being with her family and caring for her pets.
Dian is survived by her children, Kirk Morrison (Mary), Tim Morrison (Melanie), Doug Morrison (Michele), Lori Bradshaw, Rob Cocke (Tiffany), and Leslie Linton (Brian); twenty-one grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings Pat Priddy, Micki Tinsley, and Jan Bond; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Dian will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 12 PM to 6 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
A funeral will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 11 AM. Visitation will take place before the funeral, starting at 9 AM.
