Donna Payne

Donna dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She worked as a nurse at Floyd Memorial Hospital, where her kindness and compassion touched countless lives. She also spent time working at T.J. Maxx and Wendy’s, always bringing a friendly smile and warm heart to everyone she met. A member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Donna’s faith guided her life and gave her strength through all seasons.

Donna was known for her deep love of babies- she never missed a chance to hold, comfort, or care for the little ones in her life. Her family and friends will always remember her for her nurturing spirit and generous heart.

She is survived by her children, Neal Payne and Erin Preimesberger; grandchildren, Natalie Preimesberger and Andrew Preimesberger; great-grandchildren, Daxton and Delaney; and brother, Melton Richmer Jr.(Connie).

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Melton and Leona Richmer; brother, Danny Richmer; former husband, Steven Payne; and aunt and uncle, Ray and Joyce Richmer.

Donna’s family would like to thank all who shared their love, friendship, and memories with her throughout her life. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 16th, at 1:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Home (2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN). Family and friends are invited to gather prior to the service between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
