Dorothy A. (Hargadon) Brodfuehrer

Dorothy A. (Hargadon) Brodfuehrer 94, New Albany, IN passed away on July 31, 2024. She was born on December 4, 1929 in Louisville, KY to the late Frank Jr. and Arnoldine Busch Hargadon. Dorothy was married to Glen Brodfuehrer for 73 years. Together they raised 3 children. Dorothy was a member of St. Mary’s Church in New Albany since 1953 where she served as a Eucharistic minister to shut-ins and numerous other committees.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her brothers: Donald, Thomas, Daniel, Frank IV, Charles and Tracy, and sisters: Eileen Harrell, Ann Welch and Rosemary Darst.

Left to cherish her memory, children: Michael Brodfuehrer (Debbie), Theresa Neal (Steve) and Angela Brodfuehrer (Keith Reschar); grandchildren: Jenny Dorich, Benjamin Brodfuehrer (Chris Blocker), Ryan Neal (Charly), Chase Neal, Adam Jennings (Jayme) and Nathan Jennings (Astrid); great-grandchildren: Isaac, Jonah and Elijah Dorich and Rylie, Madison and Brooks Neal; brothers: Jack Hargadon and Warren Hargadon and sister: Jean Reader, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, August 5, 2024 at St. Mary of the Annunciation, 415 East 8th Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Dorothy will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Charlestown Road & Silver Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

The family would like to thank the staff at Traditions at Hunter Station for their compassion and exceptional care for the past 3 ½ years. The family also thanks Southern Care Hospice Services for their recent services.
