Dorothy E. Moore, 70, left this earth on the journey to her everlasting home in heaven on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Charlestown Place with her children standing close beside. Dorothy was born March 12, 1954 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late, Claude Lee and Millie Dooley Lee.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Ronald B. Moore. Dorothy spent most of her work career caring for children as that was her passion. She loved her family so much. She was also preceded in death by her best friend, and brother, James Lee.
She is survived by her children, Boyd Moore (Trina), Maria Morris (Seth), and Rebecca Moore (Tim Beets); grandchildren, Jerrial Shavers, Laila Abraham, Keegan and Kate Morris, Ronald Drake and Tabitha Moore; siblings: Mary Francis Kays (Phil), Brenda Gorham (Steve), Louise Snodgrass (Michael), John Lee (Theresa) and Jennifer Lee; sister-in-law, Sharon Turner and Mindy Branam-Smith, and Susan Branam Ramberg. Also, a host of nieces and nephews from both the Moore and Lee families.
The family would like to take the time to thank St. Croix Hospice and Charlestown Place for the love they have shown to mom over the past 7 years. The support and love that was shown to the family is unimaginable during their time of loss.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2024 and from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral Service will be Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
