Funeral services for Eddie Alan Dreyer, 63, of New Albany, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11 at Kraft Funeral Chapel, New Albany, with military honors and entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the V A Medical Center in Louisville.
He was a native of New Albany, an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a Purple Heart recipient and retired from Wolf Glass Co. in New Albany. Eddie was a member of the VFW post 3281, Bonnie Sloan American Legion post 28 and the Redmen Club, all in New Albany. He enjoyed bowling and golfing with his many friends and family.
Survivors include his wife Ellie Dreyer; daughters Rachel Dreyer and Michelle Dreyer; son Michael Dreyer; sister Phyllis Arnold; brothers David Dreyer and Dennis Dreyer.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Dorothy Dreyer.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany.
