Edgar Lindsey Polley Jr.

Edgar Lindsey Polley Jr., age 79, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at his home. Edgar was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Edgar Sr. and Dorothy (Ratts) Polley. After serving his country in the United States Army, Edgar went on to attend the Paris Art School in Hartford Connecticut, where he graduated in 1974. He later met the love of his life of 26 years, Mary Jo (Coker) Polley.

Edgar was an artist at heart. He enjoyed painting and over the years has collected more than 3000 of his artwork to his collection. After his retirement he enjoyed sharing his passion for art with his wife Mary Jo, painting together on many occasions. Edgar was a member of the Floyd County Crit Club for Artists in New Albany Indiana.

Along with his parents, Edgar is preceded in death by a sister, Janet Parsons.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo Polley; stepsons, Chris Coker (Cindy) and Mike Coker; two grandsons, Nathan and Noah Coker; and one nephew Charles Parsons.

A visitation for Edgar will be held Monday, November 21, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

Edgar will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park following funeral services.
