Edward Thomas Conner Jr., 77 years of age died Friday September 23, 2016. He was born June 5, 1939 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Edward Thomas Conner Sr. and Katherine Hood. Ed was a retired Handyman, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany and St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Louisville, KY. He and Elizabeth were also members of the Merry Makers Square Dance Club for many years. Ed will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth M. (Bohn) Conner; daughters, Marian Denise “Dee” Rhea (Jim), Cynthia “Cindy” Conner (James), Debra“Debbie” Elliott (Fred); grandchildren, Randy, Wendy, Tyler, Katherine; great grandchildren, Rayne, Magy, Kinzie; brother, John Payne.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday September 26 and after 8:00 am Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday September 27, at Holy Family Catholic Church 129 W. Daisy Lane in New Albany with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
