

Evelyn R. “Sis” Weber Lomax, 87, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She was born October 25, 1924 in Floyds Knobs to the late Joseph and Catherine Fenwick Weber and was the wife of the love of her life, Buck Lomax, who died in 1970. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved her family and cared for all who met and knew her. “Sis” loved her flower gardens, yard work, cats and most of all cooking and caring for her family and friends. She is now reunited with all who went before her and with her heavenly Father. She was a member of Atkins Chapel Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Buck; daughter, Marina K. Schindler; three brothers, Clifford Weber, Joseph “Junie” Weber and Clyde Fenwick; and a sister, Rita Mae Balmer.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan G. Lomax Brooks and husband Kenny of Sellersburg IN; loving grandson, M. Shane Schindler of Floyds Knobs IN; great granddaughter, Olivia Marina Schindler; caregiver of 7 years, Barbara Ellis; brother-in-law, Dave Lomax and wife Sherri; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm ~ 6:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday at the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel. Burial rites will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at Atkins Chapel Cemetery in Floyds Knobs.
