Fern E. Nelson

Fern E. Nelson, 98, died Friday, June 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by loving family. The daughter of the late Eric and Ellen Johnson, Fern was born March 31, 1921 in Rockford, Illinois. She was a teacher of all age groups and was a member of Return Church in Clarksville, Indiana. Fern was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rupert Nelson. She is survived by her children, Carol J. Beatty (David) and Duane R. Nelson (Linda); brother, Glenn Johnson (Audrey); 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Visitation will be 4 pm ~ 8 pm Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany and after 10 am Tuesday at Return Church, 435 Eastern Boulevard, Clarksville, Indiana.
