James Robert Laslie Sr.

James Robert Laslie Sr., 78, of Greenville, Indiana passed away October 4, 2020 at New Albany Nursing. He was born on October 11, 1941 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Denver and Doni Johnson Laslie. James was a retired Truck Driver and a member of the National Guard. He was a 32nd degree Mason of Scottish Rite and a proud member of Teamster Local #89. He loved popcorn and football. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Holcomb; and a granddaughter, Amy Brown. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances "Marcella" Russell Laslie; children, Martina Brown, James Robert Laslie II (Hollie); sisters, Juanita and Roletta; a brother, Donnie Laslie (Gail); grandchildren, Matthew, Brittnay and Shalayna; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Evan, Mason, Logan, Kylee, Caleb, Chance, Jackson, Braylon, Xavier and Zylie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews cousins, and extended family. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 and 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Thursday, October 8, 2020 both at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral Service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
