JAMES E. SAND, SR., 73, died Saturday, March 7, 2015. The son of the late Carmen and Lucille Clayter Sand, James was born December 12, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany and an avid U of K fan. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Patricia Sand; siblings, Joseph Sand, Albert Sand, Charles Sand, and Rosella Robinson; and 2 grandsons.
Survivors include his children, Jayme Baker (Russ), James Sand, Jr., Theresa Radcliffe (Bobby), Richard Sand (Nancy), Ronald Sand, and Adrian Scharrer (Amanda); brother, Robert Sand; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. His Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Wednesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
