

JANE DUFFY BROWN died Tuesday, March 18, 2014. She was born January 3, 1922 to George W. Duffy, Sr. and Gertrude Farnsley Duffy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley “Brownie” Brown of Prospect; brother, George Duffy, Jr.; and sisters, Martha Carroll, Rheda Duffy and Bonnie McNew.
Jane and Stanley were owners and operators of Froehde Mobile Homes in Louisville and New Albany before their retirement. Jane was a long-time parishioner of Transfiguration of Our Lord Catholic Church in Prospect before moving to Providence Retirement Home. Jane loved the Louisville Cardinals, attending the Kentucky Derby, playing bingo and cards and winters in Florida. Mostly, she loved time spent with family and friends.
Jane is survived by her brother, Richard Duffy (Mary Ann); and sisters, Wilma Euless, Marilyn Duffy and Phyllis Denaley (Pat). She was a loving and giving aunt to three generations of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm Sunday, March 23rd at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. A Mass of Celebration of Jane’s life will be at Holy Family Catholic Church, 129 W. Daisy Lane, New Albany at 11:30 am Monday, March 24th with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
