Jane Farnsley Wright

Jane (Farnsley) Wright, 91 years of age died Wednesday February 12, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab in Sellersburg. She was born August 27, 1922 in Floyd County, Indiana and was the widow of Jack Wright. Jane was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, and homemaker who also found time to volunteer at Floyd Memorial Hospital for 38 years. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany, member of the Altar Society and helped in cleaning the church for many years. Jane will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Gary Farnsley and sister, Dean Farnsley Walts, .

Survivors include her sons, Michael Wright and wife Kathy, Pat Wright; grandchildren, Emily Hatton (Steve), Chad Wright, Erika Wright; great grandchildren, Lilly & Langdon Hatton, and Luke Wright; siblings, Glenn Farnsley (Donna), June Blackman (Donnie), and Janice Farnsley.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am ~ 5:00 pm Sunday and after 10:00 am Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at11:30 am Monday February 17, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
