

JEANETTE MAILE KAAIAWAAWA-HOSKINS, 71 years of age, of Palmyra, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2011, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with private entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Sunday, October 9, 2011.
She was born July 25, 1940, and raised in Waialua, Hawaii. She was one of four children born to the late Annie and Robert Kaaiawaawa. Jeanette touched the lives of many people with her warm smile, sense of humor and unconditional love. She enjoyed telling stories of growing up in Hawaii, listening to Hawaiian music and spending time with those she loved. She was always ready to wipe away a tear or just be your friend. She always loved first and knew no strangers.
She was the loving wife of Curtis Hoskins for 55 years. She will be forever remembered by her children, Robert C. Hoskins, Ruth Hoskins, Charles Hoskins, Juanita Sacksteader Hoskins and Crystal Wathen; treasured grandchildren, Melissa, Shelby, Shad, William and Michael; great grandchildren, Tesla, Melia and Austin; nieces and nephews, Angela, Beau, Lori, Jenna, Tessie, Robert, Cameron, Kim, Kelly, Rhonda, Craig and many other friends and family who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
