

After beating the odds for so long, Jeanne M. Henson, age 71, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at her home. For seven years, she battled back a glioblastoma, a cancerous brain tumor. On the day of her passing, Jeanne was surrounded by family members and later took her last breath with her loving husband, Paul, next to her side and her daughter-in-law, Becky, nearby.
Jeanne was born in New Albany, Indiana, on July 9, 1953, to the late James and Alginet Banet. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Banet.
Jeanne was the center of her family. She loved spending time with them along with her sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and countless friends. Jeanne is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul Henson; two sons, Brandon Henson (Becky) and Brian Henson (Mandy); two grandsons, Logan Henson and Colin Henson; siblings, Suzanne Summers, Karen Miller, Marilyn Banet-Moore (Tim), Jimmy Banet, Mark Banet and Nick Banet (Debbie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would especially like to thank Jeanne’s incredible group of caregivers who became like family to her and Paul.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, June 27, 2025 at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, 5719 St Marys Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hosparus or Norton Healthcare Foundation c/o Norton Cancer Institute.
