JOSEPH EARL McDANIEL, JR., 87 years of age, passed away Sunday February 21st, at his home in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. McDaniel was a native and former resident of New Albany and former member of Central Christian Christian Church. He was the widower of Thelma Ruth Sands McDaniel, who preceded him in death in 1995, and was the former Director of Marketing with Seaboard Coastline Railroad Company. He was an Air Force Veteran of W.W. #2. The family sincerely appreciated the kind care provided by Hospice.
Survivors include his daughters, Rebecca Ann Harter (Randy) of Asheville NC and Debbie McDaniel Kmiec Nelms of Jacksonville FL; four grandchidren, Clark Douglas Harter (Emily) of Raleigh NC, Jennifer Rae Kmiec of Sunrise FL,
Kelly Jo Jorro (Steven) of Indianapolis IN and Carey Beth Harter of Asheville NC; three great grandchildren, Ruth Anne Harter, Noah David Harter and Isaac Daniel Harter.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Thursday, February 25, 2010, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. The service to celebrate his life will be held 10:00 am Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private interment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
