

Judith A. Keithley (Jute), 67 years of age went to be with her heavenly Lord on July 3, 2014 in Mt. Joy, PA. She was born June 28, 1947 in New Albany, IN. Judy was a 1965 graduate of New Albany High School, she lived in Indianapolis from 1986 to 2006 where she worked as a manager and leasing agent for several companies, she then moved to Corydon, IN and worked as a Managing Director for Capital Court Apartments for Senior Citizens. She retired in December of 2013 after over 30 years of Management Leasing, and moved to Ephrata, PA to be with her daughter and her grandchildren. Judy was a member of Southwood Baptist Church in Indianapolis and former member of Centenary United Methodist Church in New Albany. Her passing was very unexpected and untimely considering she had only been ill for a very short period of time.
Judy will best be remembered for her kindness toward the aging in her community. As Managing Director of Capital Court Apartments, she participated in many events and was loved and respected by her tenants. In addition, she fully supported our military men and women serving overseas. She organized a group in her building and together they regularly mailed packages and letters for our troops. She was also an avid card sender.
She is survived by her father: H.C. Keithley Sr. and his wife Marjorie of Lexington, Indiana (formerly of New Albany), her mother: Mary Knight Michael and her husband Ernest of Corydon, IN, one brother, H.C. Keithley Jr and sister-in-law Linda of Cincinnati, OH, two sisters, Marcie J. Keithley of New Albany and Lorraine Keithley Henry and brother-in-law Steve Henry of Deputy, Indiana. One daughter, Mary Beth Shafer Hildebrand of Ephrata, PA, 5 grandsons and one great granddaughter. Cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts as well as her large family of Senior Citizens of Capital Court Apartments in Corydon.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, HC Keithley and Oma Thomas Keithley of New Albany, and Mr. & Mrs. James Alfred Knight of Elizabeth, Indiana.
A memorial Service is to be held on Saturday, July 26th at 11:30 am at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd. New Albany, IN with the Rev. Lenne Keithley officiating, with burial to follow at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
