Lawrence "Larry" A. Walter

Lawrence “Larry” A. Walter, 76 years of age passed away on January 14, 2021. He was born June 4, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late George and Leona Walter. Larry retired from CSX Railroad, he built racecars, and loved to go white water rafting, travel the world, and spend time with his family and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Walter, and brother, Robert Walter. He is survived by his children, Christina Walter, Benjamin Walter (Charla); sisters, Rita Davis, Bonnie Kruer, Janis Ashton; grandchildren, Kelsey Smith (Dom), Clara Nugent, Ben J. Walter, Joshua Walter, Aiden Crawhorn; great grandson, Ace Smith; best friend, Dwight Farnsley; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
