A memorial service for Lowell A. Salzman Sr., 74, of Palmyra, will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany. He died Monday Aug. 13, 2012, at Hillcrest Care Center in Jeffersonville, after an extended illness.
He was born June 14 1938 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was formerly a resident of Lincoln, Dela. He was in furniture sales for many years and was affiliated with G.R.A. Associates. He loved the University of Louisville, his cats, dogs, family and wife, Debbie. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Deborah J. “Debbie” McCrary-Salzman; children, John Salzman, Lowell A. Salzman Jr. and his wife, Jamie, Coleen Sweeney and her husband, Leo, Cindy Hartman, and Peggy Salzman; 15 grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a son-in-law.
A reception of friends and family will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
