Marion was born June 27, 1954, in Louisville, Ky to the late Frank and Katarzyna Socha. He was retired from the Courier Journal where he worked for over 30 years and started as a paper boy. He was an avid collector and had many trinkets he liked to call his treasures. He enjoyed vacation and being a grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 42 years, Karen Ruth Socha, three children, Jamie Socha, Kerri Socha and Alison Clark; siblings, Thomas and Mike Socha, and a daughter-in-law, Joy Socha.
Marion is survived by his son, Michael V. Socha; grandchildren, Brian Cain, Matthew Cain, Caleb Cain, Adia Zweydorff and great-granddaughter, Harper Cain.
A visitation for Marion will be held Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Marion will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
