Mary L. Murphy

Mary L. Murphy, 87 years of age died Sunday November 1, 2020. She was born February 15, 1933 to the late Dave and Besse L. (Densford) Emly, and was the widow of Perry E. Murphy. Mary was retired from her Daycare Business after some 40 years and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a daughter, Julie Cook; three sons, Perry Jr., Matt, and Joe Murphy; and three siblings David, Paul, and Barbara. She is survived by her children, Tom Murphy, Jeff Murphy (Shari), and Theresa Attwood (Carl); Nine grandchildren, Megan, Harvey, Perry III, Chris, Chelsea, Ashton, Ethan, Sean, and Morgan; 15 Great Grandchildren and three siblings, Ruth Powell, Martha Bishop and Richard Emly (Linda) and a son-in-law, Phil Cook. Visitation will be 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Kraft Funeral Service 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany. Her Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane in New Albany.
