Mary Therese Roth

Mary Therese (ZurSchmiede) Roth, 90, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020. The daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Wooten) ZurSchmiede, Mary was born September 13, 1929 in New Albany, Indiana. She was a member of the New Albany High School Class of 1947, the original organist for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany and was the organist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jeffersonville for 20 years. She was preceeded in death by her parents and brother, Bernard ZurSchmiede. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Gilbert L. Roth; children, Beverly Bullock (Steve), Terri Cleveland (Brian), Susan Miller (Ted), Karen Schiller, Nicholas Roth (Cara), and Nancy Isenberg (Pat); 10 grandchildren, Barbara Bullock (Justin Brewer), Gia Ueding (Chris), Brandon Cleveland, Autumn Cleveland, Cami Hughes (Cory), Joshua Schiler (Vianey), Jacob Schiller, Troy Botkins, Nicholas Neely (fiancé, Leslie Logsdon), and Trevor Neely; and 10 great grandchildren, Jack, Indi, Aiden, Kennedy, Axl, Charlie, Louis, Teddy, Tyler, and Isabella. A special thank you to the staff of Baptist Health Floyd for the excellent care and support provided to Mary and her family. Due to COVID-19 mandates, her service and burial will be private. The service will be streamed live via Facebook Live on Kraft Funeral Service Spring Street facebook page at 11 am on Thursday, April 2, 2020.
