Mary Kay and her husband Lowell were the best neighbors we could have ever asked for.  They were always so helpful to us and caring to our three sons and our family dog Mia.  Prayers for the family during this time and may they find joy in knowing that the two are now back together again sharing everlasting love with the heavenly father.

From the time I can remember until I was 12, my Grandmother was a very influential person in my life. She significantly contributed to my appreciation of the change of seasons and love of the holidays. My Grandma always had a big heart for gardening. She loved to use arts and crafts for decorating and making seasonal artwork. She was always patient and included me in these decorating activities, which became our own special time together. My Grandmother’s great compassion influenced me during the first 10 years of my life with her hobbies of gardening, arts and crafts, and decorating.
When my Grandma starts gardening, she always loved to plant new flowers and a different variety of plants. She works in the dirt and garden from sunrise to sundown. She has a pond in the backyard with goldfish surrounded by flowers. During the spring she is very busy with trying to get new plants and sweet smelling daffodils, and tulips for Easter. She cared for her roses in the summer, planted yellow and orange mums in the fall and included some indoor potted poinsettias for the winter. She tried to use her garden to represent the changing seasons.
My Grandma loves to work on crafts all the time. She likes to come up with her own little ways of making a rainy day into a crafty artsy day. For Christmas she would make little snowmen out of little jingle bells, and have centerpiece wreaths with a candle or a teddy bear in the middle. She always encouraged me to join in. I would go to her house and make Halloween decorations. She would have all of the needed materials, her basement was like an arts and crafts store. She had plastic containers filled with beads, styrofoam balls, paints, markers and her trusty hot glue gun. She also loved making quilts for my cousins and me. She would always make our quilts personal, mine included airplanes.
Grandma would always let me decorate her fireplace mantle for any holiday of the year.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Sandy) Young and Robert (Becky) Young both of New Albany; three grandchildren, Jeremy (Stephanie) Young, Megan McMillin and Matthew Young; four great-grandchildren, Samantha Young, Jacob Young, Caroline McMillin and Elise McMillin; and a brother, Kenneth Nelson.
