Maurine Margaret Monroe

Maurine Margaret Monroe, 91 years of age passed away on October 1, 2019 in New Albany. She was born August 27, 1928 in New Albany, IN to the late Maurice and Thelma Grimes. Maurine was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse from the old Methodist Hospital in Louisville and along with her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Sloan, son, Robert Monroe, brother, David Grimes, and sister, Betty Hefler. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Hettinger (Gary), Donna Coomer (Raymond Dale), and Joyce McClure (Paul), sisters, Dorothy Link, and Margie Wolfe, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home chapel with private burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
